BUCKEYE NATION; PREPARE FOR BLAST OFF!
I am certain 2008 will be filled with some of the most memorable moments in Ohio State's long storied history. It will all begin on February 6, 2008. This is Naional Signing Day for all the glorified High School recruits. It is also a day in which you can really see if a man's handshake is the same as his word. In some cases kids committed over a year ago and this is the day that either seals them as a Buckeye, or whatever school they decide to attend. I say this is important to our history because of the media frenzy that has become Terrelle Pryor. I am not truly sure where this kids loyalties lie and. I am sure many of the coaches are feeling the same way. I find it amusing that some of the fates of some programs (Michigan and DickRod) lie in the hands of an 18 year old. I am sure of this if we do happen to land Terrelle he wil be welcomed with opened arms into the Buckeye Nation, and if we don't, we will continue on the path of greatness that Coach Tressel has put us on. With almost everyone returning, that is 39 of 44- 2 deep players, we will be on a course to our third straight National Title Game. If you are one of the nay-sayers about the program and all it has given the fans, then I suggest you stay home next year or find another team to root for. I'm sure the new look scUM would enjoy your pessimism. If you don't appreciate 3 National Title Games in 6 years, I don't know what could possibly make you happy. I on the other hand am loving every minute of this ride. We are in the National Media all the time whether it be good, bad or indifferent. Does it really matter? We have a Title under Tressel so all those comparing us to the Bills must need a history lesson. The Bils were 0-4 in the Super Bowl. We are 1-2. These things can all change n the blink of an eye. When on September 13, 2008 we travel to the Coliseum to take on the unbeatable Trojans. I know this is a great team, but we are a great team and that will be our chance to show the nation who we are. Believe it or not the losses endured during the Championships were painful, but they were also great lessons for us. Our team can only pull good things away from that game, and turn them into lessons learned. Remember, we may have lost a couple of battles, but we have not yet lost the war. With another undefeated season Ohio State could go down as one of the most dominant teams of the past century. We are already knocking on the door we just need to push our way in. So, for all you true Buckeye Fans and the real Buckeye Nation, please stand up, because 2008 is going to be a whirlwind of excitement and you don't want to miss a thing. GO BUCKS!
